RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION N0. 75-131
FIXING TAX RATES FOR THE COUN~`Y OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, the State Legisl.ature has enacted Senate Bill No. 220
permittinq school districts to increase their maximum revenue li~mita-
tions; and
wHEREAS, the legislature has also enacted Assembly Bi~.l No. ~57
permitting school da.stricts to reconsider and increase their 1975-76
adopted budgets with.out the necessity of advertised public hearings;
and
WHEREAS, certain school districts have availed themselves of the
provisions o~ Senate Bill No. 220 and Assembly Bill No. 457; and
WHEREAS, in the process of reconsidering school districts budgets,
it was discovered that an amount of $393,422 had been inadvertently
omitted from the budget compilation ~or the Paradise Unified School
district; and
WHEREAS, the County Board of Supervisors had adopted Resolution
No. 75-131 fixing the 1975-76 tax rates for school districts prior to
the time that AB 457 became law; and
WHEREAS, £ailure to fix revised tax rates would cause undue
financial hardship for certain school districts;
NOW, THEREF`ORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte does hereby amend the 7.975-76 tax rates for the
following school districts:
