STA`PE OF CALIFORNIA:
That EVERD McCA~N be, and he is hereby, appointed
Engineer of Work and that he shall do and perform the duties
of the County Surveyor or Superintendent of Streets that are
hereafter :specified in the matter of the improvement of certain ;
streets and easements within and adjacent to the area in this -
County shown upon the map of Sacramento Avenue Assessment Distriet
No. 1 adopted and approved by thzs Board on ~ac~~.be~e~ 7 ~
, 1975.
That said Engineez of Work is hereby directed to prepare '
for this Board, Maps, Diagra~ns, Plans and 5pecifications for
doing said work together with careful estimates of the costs
and expenses thereof.
That said work shall be ~}one under the direct~.on and to the'
satisfaction of the said Engineer of Work and that he shall make'
and sign the assessment to be levied ~or said work toge-~her with°
the waYrant for tk~e saiae. ~
That the compensation for Everd McCain for the ~erformance.
o£ the duties hereinabove set forth shall, be determined in accord-
ance with that certain Standard Hourly Rate Schedule attached
hereto and marked ~xhibit "A" and that said sum be charged to and',
paid only from the incidental expenses ~or said Assessment District

' and from no other source or fund except that in the event the
County~of Butte does not proceed with this assessment proceeding
past the hearing on the Resolntion of Intention then said courity,
shall pay Everd~.MCCain in accordance with said Rate Schedule from
funds o~her than the incidental expenses ~or said Assessment
District.
