RESOLUTIOiV I~T MEMORY OF FLOYD GILES
WHELZEAS, this Board was grieved to learn of the death of FLOYD
GILES, and
WHEREAS, FLOYD GILES seryed the peop~.e of the County of Butte with
distinction as a member of the Board of Supervisors of the county,
representing District III for eight years serving as chairman twice
during ~haC ~ime, and
~1tEAS, FT,OYD GILES was active in Masonic arganizations. He was
a Masoni.c membex for 50 years and was honored for his 50-year membership
in the Chico Shrine Club.
NOW, TfIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of Cali~'ornia as follows:
1. That said Board hereby memoralizes its appreciation of the
meritorious services rendered to the County of Butte by FLOYD GILES
during his T.ifetime.
2. That the condolences and heartfelt sympathy of this Board be
extencled to his wife Kathryn an.d that the C1erk of this Board foz'~aard
a certified copy o~ this resolution to her.
3. 'I`hat the regular meetin.g of this Board held on November 4,
~.975, be adjourned in memory of ~FLOYD GILES.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by tt~e Butte County Board o~ Supervisors this
4th day of November, 7.975, by the following vote:
