follows:

WHEREAS, the reason for this detachment proposaJ. is ro detach
certain territory within the incorporated limits af the City of Chico
tha~ has been found to be included and bene~i.ti.ng fxom Maintenance Area
No. 5 established by the Sacramerito and San Joaquin Drainage District,
ac~ing by and through. the Reclamation Board of the S~ate of Cali£ornia
in connecti~on with the Little Chico C~eek-But~e Creelc Diversion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as fo7.lows in compliance with
the requirements of the District Reorganization Act and the determ.ina-
tions of the Local Agency Form.ation Commission:
1. It is the intention of this Boaxd to derach the territory
hereinbefore described from County Sarvice Azea No. 2/+.
2. A public hea~ing sl~.all be held on ~his proposed detachmeri~
on December 30, 1975 at Ii:30 a.m., in the Soard of Supervisors Room,
Butte County Administration Building, Oroville, California.
RESOLUTTON AND NOTICE OF INTEN~ION TO DETACH
TERRITORY FROM COUNTY SERVICE AREA AND SETTING
PUBLIC I~EARING (LAFC No. 75-31, Proposed
Detachaierit~ 'from C~ouiity Service Area No'. 24)
3. Any interested person desiring to make written protest
against the proposed detachment shall do so by signed, written commuriica-
tion filed with the C~erk of the Board of Supervisors of the County'
of Butte at the County Administration Building, Oroville, California not
later rhan the hour set for hearing. Any such written protest by a
landowner shaZl contain a description sufficient to identity the land
owned by him; a protest bq a voter shall contain the residential address
o~ such voter.
~. The Clerk is direc~ed to certify to the passage of this
resolution; to have it published once each week for two successive
waeks in the Chico ~nterprise-xecord ,~he ~irst such publication
to be at least 15 days prior to the date set ~or hearing and continue:
until the time of the hearing; and to mail a copy o~ this resolution,
postage prepaid, to each landowner owning land in the territory proposed
for detachment and to all persons a~d counties, cities or districts
which have neretofore filed a written request for special notice with
the Glerk, such mailing to be completed at least 15 days prior to the
date of the hearing.
