in~ends ~o cansider a proposal for annexation of the territory
hereinafter describecl to Gounty Service Area No. 40 and desires to
initiate a proceeding for said annexa~ion pursuant to the District
Reorganizat~on Act, beginning ~rith 56000 of ~he Government Code, and
in]HER~AS, pri.or to adopti.o~. of a xesoJ.ution by the Board
of Supervisors initiating annexatzon proceedings it is necessary to
apply to the Sutte County Local Agency Formation Co~ission for
its review and approval or disapproval of the px-oposed annexation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDE~p by the Bu~te
County Board of Supervisors as follows:
1. Application and a proposal is hereby made ~o the Butte
County Loca1 Agency Formation Couima.ss9.on ~or the annexation of
certain uninhabited territory to County Service Area No. /~0. The
exterior boundaries of such territory are described in Exhibit "A"
attach.ed hereto and made a part hereof by this re£erence.
2. The reason for this proposal is to pravide for the
installation of st~eet ].ightirt.g located within the boundaries
of the area described herein pursuant to Govex~nment Code §25210.4a.
3. The C].erk of the Board is authorized and directed to fi1.e
a certified copy of this resolution witYc the ~xecutive Officer of the Butte
County Loca1 Agency Formation Commi.ssion.
