RESOLUTIOPt DETACHING TERRITORY F1ROM COUNTX SERVICE
AREA N0. 24 (Government Code §§56000, et seq.)
WHEREAS, heretofore on the I8th day of November, 1975,
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
adopted. and passed a Resolution of Notice of Intention To Detach
Territory From County Service Area No. 24, and
WHEREAS, said resolution fi~ed ~he 30Ch day of December,
1975, at Z1:30 a.m. of said day in the Board of Supervisors' Room,
Admin.istration Building, City of Oroville, S~ate of California, as
the time and place for the public hearing for the detachment o£
said territory, and
WHEREAS, said Board at said time and pla~e proceeded to hear
arguments, both for and against the detachment of saxd territory,
and
WHEREAS, no written protests against the detachment of said
territory were filed.
NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT` RESQLVED by this Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
I. Tha~ said Soard hereby finds and determines the pzoceedings
herein were conducted pursuant to Government Code §§560~0 et s~.,
and that publication and notice were given pursuant thereto, and
that said Soard finds and determines that th.e extent to which the
services described are extended county services.
2. That said Soard hereby d.etermines to detach ~erritory from
said County Service Area No. 24. The property is hereinafter
described.
3. That the boundaries o£ said territory ~o be detached from
said Service Area No. 24 are hereby finally determined and estabiished
and fully described as follows:
Seing a portion of the City of Chico as showci on that certain
map enritled, "Town of Chico," recorded in Book 1~'Iaps of
Record at page 43, August 26, 1867, a.n County of Butte,
Sta~e of California more particularly descr~.bed as follows:
Beginning aC the centerline of Main Street with ~.ts i.nter-
section af fl~e centerline of East Sixth Street; thence
northeasterly along the cenrerline of,East Sixth Street to
the centerline of Orien~ Stree~; ~lzence southeasterly along
the centerline of Orienti Street to the Centerline of East
Eighth Street; thence southwesterly along Che cenCerline of
East Eighth Street to the centerline of Main S~ree~;
thence northwesterly along the centerline of Main Street to
the pZace of beg~nning.
Containing an area of Z5.9 acres more or ~ess,
4. That the Cype of exCended services provided within
said territory to be detached is for the purpose of operating,
maintaining, repairing and th.e upkeep of drainage and flood facilities
located within the boundaries of the area.
PASSED AND AD4PTED by the Butte County Board of Svpervisors
this 30th day of December, 1975, by the following vote:
