AN ORDINANCE AaI~NDING ORDINANCE N0. b20, KIJOV,IN AS
THE ORDINANCE REGULATING THE REGISTRATION, RABIES
VACCIIdATTON , AND Ta'~11~OUNDIIVG Oli DOGS
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, ,State of
California, do ordain as follows;
That ,Butte County Ordinance regulating the registration, rabies
vaccination, and impounding of dogs, being Ordinance No. 620 of said
County is hereby amended in the following respects and particulars:
Section 9A is added to said Ordinance No;. 620; that said Section
9~'L will read as follows:
'tIt shall be unlawful and a nuisance for
any person having the ownership, possess-
ion, custody, or control of a dog within
the Eounty;
(a) To suffer, cause, permit, or allow
the same to be in, on, or upon any public
or private school grounds except when
otherwise authorized by appropriate school
officials.
(b) To suffer, cause, permit, or a11ow
the same to annoy, harrass, nip, maul, or
bid any person or persons.
(c) To suffer, cause, permit, or a11ow
a female dog in a breedable ,condition with
in the County except when confined on or
within the ownerts premises.
(d) Subject to the rabies control pro-
visions contained herein to suffer, cause,
permit, or a11ow any dog afflicted with any
contagious disease within the County except
when confined on or within either the ownerts

premises or the premises of a duly
licensed veterinarian.
(e) To damage or destroy andf property
or thing of value.
(f) To create a nuisance in a neighbor-
hood by howling, barking, or making unusual
noises.~~
This Ordinance amending Ordinance 1Vo. b20, sha11 take affect
thirty (30) days after the passage of the same, and before the expira-
tion on fifteen (15} days after such passage, this Ordinance published
with therames of the members voting for and against the same, at least
once in the oroville-Mercur a newspaper_:~
published in the County of Butte.
