FORMATION COMMISSION REGARDIiVG PROPdSAL FOIt
ESTABLIS~NT 'OF ~CO~]NTY SERV~C~ iSItE'A NO'. 5'7
W~iEREt~S, the Board of Supexvisors of the County of Butte
intends to consider a proposal for establishment of a county
service area for the purpose of providing a~structural fire pro-
tec~ion water system, ~he boundari.es af which area are hereinafter
described, and
WHEREAS, no proceeding for the es~ablishm.ent of such a
sexvice area sha11 be instituted by the Board or reques~ed by its
mezubezs un~il approval of the Local Agency Formation Commission is
firs~ obtained. ~
NOW, THERE~ORE, BE IT RESOLVEA AND ORD~RED by the Butte
County Board of Supervisors as follows:
l. Application and a proposal is hereby made eo the Bv.tte
Cownty Local Agency Formation Commission in accordan.ce wirh the Knox-
Nisbet Act, beginning with Governme~.t Code §54773, for establishment
of Coun.ty Service Area 57. The exterior boundaries of the proposed
service area are described:.in Exhibit "A" attached h.ereto and made
a part hereo~ by rhis reference.
2. Es~ablishment of said service area is proposed un.der
the Coux~.ty Service Area Law (Chapter 2.2, Part 2, Division 2, T~.tle 3
of`the Governm.ent Cade beginning with §25210.1). The type ot extended
se~vice proposed is a structuraZ fi~e protection water system.
3. The Clerk of tihe Board is authorized and diracted to
file a cexCified copy of this resolution with the Executive O~~icer
of the Bu~ee County Local Agency Formation Commission.
