RESOLUTION R~QITESTZNG PROCLAMATION OF AN
,"EMERGENCY"~ IN .BUTTE C:OUNTY
WHEREAS, unusuaJ.ly ~ow rainfall this season in. Butte County
has severely damaged cextain crops such as barley, oats, raheat, grain
hay and dry land pastures, and
tiWfiEREAS, because the lack of rain~all and damage to crops
and dry I.and pastures has required su~Splemental feeding of livestock
and resu~.ted in a Ioss as of this date of appzoximately $885,000
to members of ~he farm comm.unity, it is determined that relief is
neeessary,
` NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board respectfully
requests the Governor of the State of California to proclaim Butte
County an emergericy area as the result o£ the unusually low rai.n.~a7.~.s.
That ~his Board believes,that this area is erititled to endergency
relief ~hat an emergen:cy designation would bring.

this 10 day of February ~ 7976, by ~he following vote:
