RESOL~iTTION AND NOTICE OF ZNTENTION TO ANNEX TERRITORSZ
TO COUNTX S~R'VIC~ A~ZEA AND SETTING PUBLIC ~lEARING
(LAFCO No. 76-5, Proposed An.nexation to Countp
Serv9.ce Area No. 40)
WHEREAS, the Butte County Loca]. Agency Formation Commissi.on,
after appropri.ate proeeedings, adopted Resolution 76-5 on February 5,
1976 approving said anne~ation and found; determ~.ned and resolved as
follows:
J., The ex~erior boundaries of the territory to be
annexed are as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof by this reference.
2. The territory proposed .for annexation is inhaba.ted.
3. ~lZat the followin~ distinctive short form des~.g~~.-
tion shail be used throughout these proceedings:

WHE].2EAS, the reason for this annexation proposal
is to provide for the installation of street lighting ].ocated within
the bovndari~s of the a~ea described herein pursuant to Gov~rnment
Code §Z5210.4a.
NOW, TH~RE~'O1RE, BE IT RESOLVED as foll.ows in compliance
with the requi.rements of the Distric~C Reorganization Act and the
determinations of the Local. Agency F'orma~ion Commission.
1. It is the intention of this Board to annex the
territory hereinbefore described to County Service Area No. 40.
2. A public h.earing sha11 be held on this proposed
annexation on March30 , 1976 at : f0:30 d,m. in the Board o~
Supervisors Roozn, 8ut~e County Administration Building, Oroville
California.

3. Any interested person desir~.ng to make Grritten protest
againsC the proposed annexation shall do so by szgz~.ed, wri~ten
communication filed with the Clerk of the Board o~ Supervisors at the
County Administration Building, Oroville, Cala~forn.ia no~ later than
the hour set for hearing. Any such written protest by a landowner
shaZ~. contain a description sufficient to identify ~he land'owned
by him; a protest by a voter shall contain ~he residential address
of.such voter.
4. The Clerk a.s directed to cer~ify to the passage of
thi.s zeso~.ution; to have it published once each week for two successive
~ weeks in ~he Chico Enterp~ise_ __ ____ __> the first such publication to be at
least 15 days prior to the date set for hearing and continue until
the time of the hearzng; and to mail a copy of this resolution,
postage prepaid, to each landowner owning land in the territory
proposed for annexation and to aZi persons and counties, cities or
districts which have heretofore filed a written request ~or special
notice with the Clerk, such mailing to be completed at least I5
days prior to the date of the hearing.
PASSED AND A-OPTED by the Butte County Board of Super-
visors this 24th day of ~ February , 1976, by the following
vote:

ABSENT: Chairman Cameron

of Record at page 41 and Ramada Acres Subdivision Unit No. 2 recorded in Book
31, ~Iaps of Record at pag~ 47 and 48, in the office of the Recorder, County ~
of Butte, State of California; more particularly described as follows:
Beginnixtg at the northwest corner of lot ~EI o£ said Unit No. 1; thence east
