District has passed a resolu~ion calling an election ~ox purposes
ot increasing the Butte Cominunity College Trustees from five to
seven and ~or a bond electian, said election to be held June $, 1476;
and
WHE~AS, the Govez-~.a.ng Board of the Gridley Union School
District has passed a zesoln~ion calling an election for the purpose
of electing members to the Governing Board, said electi.on to be held
3une 8, 1976; and
WHEREAS, each of the aforesaid Gaverning Boards has requested
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte to order ~he
consola.dation of each of the aforesaid electzons wz.th the State
Primary Elect~on to be held on Tuesday, .~une 8, 1976;
NO~d, TH~REFORE, BE IT ORDERED AND RE54LVED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. ~hat the aforesaid elections called by the a~oxesaid
Governing Boards for June $, 197b shall be and the same are hereby
consolidated with the State ~rimary Election to be held June 8, 1976.
2. That in the areas affected by this consolidation order
the election should b~ held in all respects as though there was
only one election and the County Clerk of Butte County is hereby
ordered and directed to provide accordingly within the territory
affected by said consolida~ion, the election precincts, polling
places and voting booths for each of said elections herebq consolidated
and to prova~de for only one set of election officers in each of ~he
precincts affected by' ~his consolidation order.

3. That the County Clerk is further-.ar:elered and directed to
set ~orth. in each form of ballot and sample ballot, to be used in
said .consolidated elections, insofar as applicable, the ballot
measure for said governing board member elections, increase of governing
board member election and bond election, to mail to the qualified
eiecfors of the respective districts ~he appropriate sampJ.e ballots
and polling place cards signed by said County G1erk relating to
said election and to provide absent voter ballots for said elections
an.d said State ~rim~ry Election consolidated therewith fox use by
qualified el.ectors of the respective districts wlzo may be entitled
thereto as provided by law.
4. That the County C1erk shall canvass or cause to be
canvassed the ~eturns o.f said district elections and sha11 certify
said canvass of t~E~.e votes cast ~o rhe respective governing boards.
5. That the County Clerk is further authq~ized to charge to
the ~espective districts the expense of the election or elections
attributable to said distra.cts.
