WHEREAS, heretofore on the 24th daq of February, I976,
tk~.e Board of Supervisors of the Caunty of ~utte, State of Cali~ornia,
adopted and passed a Resalution of Intention to Es~ablish County
Service Azea to be Entitled "COUNTY SERVICE AREA N0. 5b," and
WHEREAS, said Resolution ~ixed the 30th day o~ March, 1976
at 10:30 a.m. of sazd day, in the Board of Supervisors Room of the
Butte Coun~y Administration Suilding, Oroville; State of California,
as the time and place for t$e public hearing on the establi.shmen~
of said area, and
WHEREAS, said Board, at said time and place, proceeded to
hear argumen~s both for and agaisnt the establishment of said
area, and
WHEREAS, no ~itten protests against the establishuient
thereof were filed i.n accordance with §25210.17 of the Government
Code.
NOW, THEItEFORE, B~ ~~` RESOLVED by the Soard of Supervisozs'
o~ t~:e County of Butte, State of CaJ.ifornia, as follows:
l. Z`hat said Board hereby £inds and deterrnines tt~at
proceedings herein were conducted pursuanC to §25210.1, et s~.
of the Government Code, and that publication and notices were
given pursuant thereto, and that said Board finds and. determines
that the ex~ent ~o which the services described in the Resolutibn
of znten~ion are extended county services;
2, that ~he boundaries of said service area are hereby
finally determined and established as the same as are shown on
Exha.bit "A" a~tached hereto, and incorparated herei:n by reference
and made a part o£ ~his resolution.
RESOLUT~ON ESTASLISIiTNG CDUNTX SERVICE AREA TO BE
E1~TITLED "C4UIVTX S~RV~CE AREA N0. 56"

3. That the name of said proposed service area is "COUN~X
SERVICE AREA N0. 56."
4. That the type of extended county service to be provided
within said area is street lighting.
5. That the County C1erk is hereby directed to ca11 and hold
a mail-out election in the proposed service area for the purpose of
determining whether said service area shall be organized and formed
with the boundaries as set ~or~h above, and submitted to ~he
qualified electors of and saithin said proposed service area sha11
be the following proposition:

6. The electi.on shall be held and conducted by the County

Article ~. (comzuencing with §3700) of Chapter 3 Division 4 0£ th.e
~].ecti.on Code.
7. ~f the majority of the votes cast at the electzon i.s
i.n. ~avor o~ forming the service area and establishing a maximum
tax rate ~:n the service area, the Boazd of Sv:pervisors shall, by
resolution entered in its minutes, declare the service area
established under tl~.e Community Service Area La~,r, giving the n.ame
of the service area, the purposes for which it is formed, describ-
ing its boundaries and the maximum tax zate'eseablished in the
area.
