by the County o~ Del Norte in litigation between the Sierra C1ub and
the United States Department of Agriculture and the reasiz~.s for such
intervezitzon, and
WHEFtEAS, the County of Sutte will be adversely affected
by tha action of the Sierra C1ub as we11 as numerous school districts
within our County, and
FIHEREAS, should the Sierra C1ub prevail in ~he aforemention-
ed litigation, the educational programs in a number of oux sck~.ool. districts
will be adversely affected.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that this Board strongly
supports the action takeri by the County of Del Norte. Further, that
th~.s Boa~d opposes ~he position takeri by the Sierra Club in said Iit~.--
ga~ion. and respectf~.lly submits that their position is not mer~.CO~^ious
and can only result in serious injury to the people of this State.
