HomeMy WebLinkAbout76-094LASSEN AVENUE ASSESSMEPFT DISTIZICT NO. ~ RESOLUTION NO. 76-94 A[~7ARDING CONTRACT ' WHEREAS, on March 9, 1976, this Board adopted 12esolution No. 76-42, Resolution of Intention, described therein certain public improvement works proposed ~o be built for LASSEN AVENUE ASSESSMENT Dz5Tk2ICT NO. 1, and WHEREAS, on March 9, 1976, this Board directed ~he CZerk of this Board ~o advertise for bids for doing said wor3t and to receive said bids on April 6, 1976, and WHEREAS, on May 25, 1976 this Board adopted Resolution No. 76-94 and therein ordered the public improvement work to be constructecl that was described in said ltescrl.u~ion of ~n~ention and in the Report prepared pursuan~ ~o said Resolution ' pf In~ention which Report this Soard duly approved also in said Resolv.tion No. 76-94, an.d t~1Fi~REAS, the Clerk has duly advertised for bids and , has received them and the Clerk has duly opened and examined ' arid declared a11 bids and has duly reported his findings~respect- ing a1J. bids received tb:.this Soard. NQW, THEREFORE, RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SUTTE, STATE OF CAL2FORNIA: 1. That each of the recitals to this Resolution is true. • 2. Tha~t this Board hereby rejects all bids received upon the public improvement work for LASSEI3 AVENUE ASSESS~NT DISTRICT NO. 1, excegt the ba.d of BALDWIN CONTRACTING, TNC., and hereby finds and determ9.nes that BALDWt1V CON'FRACTING, INC. is the lowest and bESt bidder and hereby.awards the contract~ to B.AS,DWIN CONTRACTING, INC. at the unzt prices named in i~s bid on file with ~he Clerk. 4/8/76 - GEP : cg _ _ . _ _. . - _. _....._ .__. __ ~... ._..... • -- ~ i ; " . 3. ~hat this Board hereby authorizes and directs the Chaiz~nan of the Board of Supervisors to execute a contract with BALDWZN CONTRACTING, INC. on behalf of the County of Butte binding said aALDWIN CONTRACTING, INC. to do the work for L1~SSEN AVENUE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 described in said Resolution o~ Intention and in said Report at the unit prices in its bid and said contract--sha~l provide that payment shall be made only from ~he proceeds of bond sales and from the contributions ot the property ownErs. 4. That the Cle~k is hereby directed to give written notice to said BALDWIN CONTk2ACTING, INC, tha~ ~he subject contract has been awarded to said BALDWIN CONTRACTING, INC. On a motion by Supervisor Madigan , seconded by Supervisor Richter ~ the foregozng resolutzon was passed and adopted by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF ~HE COUNTY OF BUTT~, STATE OF CALIF012NIA, this 25 day o~ May , 1976r by the fo~lowing vote, to wit: AYES: SUPERVTSORS Ladd, ifadigan, McKillop, Rictiter and Chairman Cameron NQES: SUPERVTSORS None ABSENT: SUPERVISORS Rone ~~l/ / 1 r~G ~ Chairman ATTEST: CLARK A.
