l. Peti.t~.ons ~or the establishment of a resource conserva-
tion district in the County of Butte have beeri duly ~i1ed with the
Board of Supervisors and have been determined to contain the
requisite number of signatures of land owners of the County of Butte
wri~thin the proposed district.
2. Said petitions called for the establishment of a public
resource distxict pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 3 of
described as
Division 9 of the Public Resources Code and/bezng a portion of
the Coun.ty of Butte described as follaws:
Being all that real property, both public and private,
~.ya.izg within the present boundaries o~ the County
of Butte, Californfa, exeep~ for the ~ollowing described
lands :
Excepting there~rom that poxtion of the Vina Soi1.
Conservation District 1 ands lying within said County
of Butte boundaries, being more particularly descrilied
as foll.ows :
Beginning at the most northwesterly corner of Butte
County, said po~.n~ being the intersection of the north
boundary of Sectz:on 3, T23N, R2W, MDB & M, ax~.d rhe
centerline of ~he Sacramento River; thence east
approximately 3 miles along the north: boun.dary of Butte
County, to i~s intersection with the nor~h boundary of
8ection 6, T23N, R1W, and the westerly right-of-way line
of the Sou~hern Pacific Raii Road; thenee southeasterly
approximately 3/8 mi].e along said Ra.i1 Road right-of-way
to its intersection with the boundary common. to tha

as Chey existed on the 14th day of J'une, 1955; thence
