RESOLUTIOfV A~ip ORpER PROVIDING FOR THE CONSOLTDATION
OF THE RICHVALE R~CREATIQN AND PARK DISTRICT WI~H
THE STATE GENERAI~ ELECTION TO BE HELD ~Of~ NOVEMBER 2, 1976
WHEREAS, the Governing Soard of the R3chvale Recreation and
- Park District has requested the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte to give fu]1 consideration to the conso1idation of the
Distric~ election ballot with the State General Election to be
held on T~aesday, IVovember 2, 1976.
NOW, TH~REFORE, BE IT QRDERED A~iD RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Ca~ifornia, as follows:
1. That the aforesaid electians called by the aforesaid
Governing Board for November 2, 1976, and by the Board of Supervisors,
shall be and the same are hereby consoTidated with the State General
Election to be held November 2, 1976.
2. That in the areas affected by this consol9dat~on order
the elec~ion should be he1d in all respects as though there was only
one election and the County Clerk of Butte County is hereby ordered
and directed to provide accordingly with the territory affected by
said consolidation, the election precincts, polling p~aces and voting
booths far each of said elections hereby cor~solidated and to provide
for only one set of e1ection officers in each of the precincts affected
~ by this consolidation order.
~ 3. That the County Clerk is further ordered and directed
to set forth in each for-m of ba~lot and sample ballot, to be used in
said conso~idation elections, insafar as app7icab7e, the ballot measure
for said governing board member election, to mail to the qualified
electors of the respectiv.e district the appropriate sample bal1ots and
polling place cards signed by said County Clerlc relating to said
elec~ion and to provide absent vofer ballots for said elections and
said State Generai E7ection consolidated therewith for use by
qualified etectors of the respective districts who may be entitled
thereto as provided by law.
4. That ~he County Clerk shall canvass or cause to be
canvassed the returns of said district e]ections and shaTl certify
said canvass of the votes cast to the respective governingboards.
5. That the County Clerk is further authorized to charge
to the respective districts the expense of the election or elections
attributable to said districts.
