been placed on federal bridg~ rep~.acement program, and
WHEREAS, Butte County Board of Supervisors find tha~ workload. of its
Puhlic Woxks D~pax~tmen~ precludes ~.t from performing ~he engineering desi:gn
of the ~able Mountai.z~. ~oulevard Bridge xeplacem~nt projec~.
NOW, THERE~DR~,.~E TT RESOT~V~D THA~:
1. 'Fhe Cauz~~y o~ Butte requests the State o~ Californi.a Department
of Transportati~on.to canduct the foundation investigations, to
prepare plans, specificati.ons and engineer's estimate for said «'
• bri,dge rep~acernen~. project;
2. ~he Coun~y of ~utte agrees to reimburse the State o~ Cali~ornza~
for its costs i.~ doing such work;
3. The County of Bu~te ~equests the Sta~e ot Cali~ornia to advi.se

County Public Works Department as to the sum of money est~a~ d.',

to be needed for said wox'~C so that the same may be depos~ted
~ with. the State; and
4, The County of Bu~te requests rhe State ~a advise ~he County
Public Wo~ks Aepart~nent as to ~~.e prabable date that said plans,
