received a Community Development B1ock Grant from the U. S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development, among the purposes of which are
to eliminate blight an.d improve housing conditions for low- and tnoder-
ate-income families witl~in the project area generally known as "South
Oroville"; and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a recommendat~.on ~rom its
Community Development Consv.ltan.t that certain real property be acquired,
consis~ent with the goals and objectives of th.e block grant program,
~or the purpose of effecting the remova~. vf resi.dential blight; and
WHEREAS, the CounCy, ~ollowing the uniform policies and
requirements ~stablished in the HTJA Real. P~opexty (~cquisition
Handbook 1320.1., has made appropriate efforts to identify the best •
qual.ified appraisers in a nondiscriminatory manner, whose services
might be utilized in obtaining competent appraisals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ].ZESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the co~,.ty of Butte as follows, to wit:
l. That the County of Butte sha11 enter into contracts
with Robert A. Winston and William H. P. Dolan for appraisal and
review appraisal services, respectively, within the CD project area.
2. That the Chief Administrative Officer is authorized
to execute suc'n contracts for and on behalf of the County.
