§65356.1, referred the clarification amendmen.t, hereinafter described,
to the Butte County Planning Commissiori, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Governmen~ Code ~'65355, a hearing
has been held by the Board of Supervisoxs to consider rhe clarifica-
tion amendment to the Open Space Element of the Butte Co~nty General
PJ.an, and
WHERE~S, this Soard has determined that th9:s amendment
is a c7.arification as to the Board's intent of the existing Open Space
Element and that it is not a substantive chan.ge to the Open Space
El.ement, and
WFiEREAS, this Board f~.nds that the clarificati.on amend-
tnent to th.e Open Space Elemant of the Butte County General Plan wi~.l
pxomote the health, safety, an,d general weTfare of the citizens of ~he
Coun.ty o~ Butte by eliminating confusion as to the intent of the
Board of Supervisors.
NOW, THEREF'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the Coim.ty o~ Butte, State of Califozr~.ia, that Recommendation A
of the Open Space Element on page 14.5 of the Butte County General
P1an be amended ta read as follows:
"A. All 'prir,ie agricultural land` (as de~ined in the
Williamson Act) outside designated urban areas
should be designated as 'agricultural` on the Lan.d
Use Plan Map."
~~ IT FURTHER Tt~SOZVED that, pursuan~ to Govex-n.ment
Code ~65359, the General PZan of the County of,~Bu~te be endorsed to
show that the above clarification amendment has been. approved by
this Board.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Board declares that tlze
afbrementioned am.endment is declaratory of the existing plan and is not
a substantive change.
