~.n~ends to consider a proposal for detachment of tierritory herein-
after described from Cour~.ty Service Area ~~26 and desires to initiate
proceeding for said detachment pursuant to the Distri.ct Reorganization
Act, beginning w~.th §56400 of the Govern~nent Code; and
WHEREAS, pr~or to the adoption of a resolution by the Board
of Supervisors initiating detac3.imen~ proceedings it is necessary to
apply to the Butte County Local Age~ncy Foruiation Commission for its
review and approval or disapproval of the proposed detachment.
NOW, ~HEIiEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED A~T17 ORDERED by the Butte
County Board o~ Supervisors as follows:
1. Application and a proposal is hereby made to the Butte
County Loeal Agency Form.ation Commiss~.an. for the detachment of certain
territory from County Service Area ~~26 pursuant to the District
Reorganization Act beginning with §560~0 of the Government Code.
2. The nature of the proposed change of the organization a.s
for the derachment of certain territory from County Service Area ~k26
ly9.ng within the boundaries of the City of Oroville.
3. The territory proposed to be detached from County Service
Area ~~26 has been deemed to be inhabited and tlze exterior boundaries
of said territory axe described in Extiibit "A" a~C~ached hereto and
made a part hereof by this reference.
4. ~e reason ~or this proposal is to de~ach certain territory
within the incox-pora~ed limits of the City of Oroville that was
erroneousYy included uri~hin the boundaries o~ Gounty Service Area ~~26

upon its tormation. Said territory receives sewerage service from
the City of Oroville and receives no benefit from County Service
Area ~k26.
5. Prior to detachment of said territory of Coun~y Service
Area ~k26, the consent and release of the sole bond holder of County
Service Area ~k26 Seraer Bonds ,~I~.e Uni~ed States of America, Farmers
Hoxne Adm~.ni.stxation, shall be obtained so that th.e lan.ds within said
territory being de~ached shall not be obligated with respect to sai.d
bonds.
6. The Clerk of the Board s authorized and directed to fiT.e
a certified copy of this resolution with the executive of~icer of
the Butte Co~nty Loca1. Agency Formation Commission.
