WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
do ordain as Follows:
Section l: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter described
come within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code o£ the State of
California, in that a prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (65) miles per hour
is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways, and determines and de-
clares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highways as follows:
Section 2: That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five (25) miles
per hour is hereby determined, declared and established upon the hereinafter
described Butte County highways, to wit:
(a) On all of Valley View Drive
(b) On al]..of Lemon Hill Drive
(c ) On all of Zephyr Tr1ay
(d) On all o£ Sabine Road
(e) On all of Acacia Avenue
(f) On Canyon Highlands Drive betvreen Oroviile-Cyuincy Road and
Oroville Dam Boulevard (old State Highiaay 40A)
Section 3: That SPEED LL~IIT 25 I4ILES signs be placed at appropriate
locations on the roads described in Section 2.
Section 4: That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles
per hour is hereby determined, declared and established upon the hereinafter
described Butte County highway, to wit:
(a) Oroville Dam Boulevard (old State Highway 40A) from the City
Limits of Oroville to the easterly right-of-way line of Pine
Oaks Road.
Section That SPEED LIPIIT 35 I~fILES signs be placed at appropriate
locations on the roads. described in Section 4•
Section 6: All crdinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
Section 7: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and
terms of th;s ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the

invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section, or term thereof
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, norrende-r the same inopera-
tive or invalid.
Section 8: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
.speed limits established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its passage,
and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be
published with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once
in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board o£ Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the 5th
',day o£ March , 1963, by the following vote:
