ORDINANCE N0. 770
AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF OALIFORNIA, PURSUANT
TO ORDINANCE NOS. 475 AND. $22 OF SAID COUNTY..
The Board of .Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said County, being the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance o£ said County as amended by Ordinance No. 522, do
ordain as follows:.

SECTION 1. The hereinbelow described area, situate in the County of
Butte, State of California, shall be__and it.i.a hereby zoned as an "A-3"
(Agricultural)..Hitti•n:At,_ and_sueh area shall be subject to the restric-
tions, restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
The area so zoned (hereinafter referred to as District) is described as
follows: __
As shown on maps on file and of record in the office of the-Butte
County Planning Commission, State of CaLi.fornia, on April 10, 1963.
SECTION 2. The following regulations shall apply in an "A-3"
(Agricultural) I7strictq _,,
2a1 Uses Pgrmittodt
1) Single family dwellings and buildings incidental thereto.
Same uses in an "A-R" District. General farming horti-
cnlture, dairying, commercial li.vestoek, poultry
production, warehouse. and storage of agriculture pro-
ducts.
2) The following uses subject to the securing of a Use Permit
in each case:
a. Duplexes or maltiple,family dwellingaunits.
b. Golf courses and country .clubs.
c. Public or quas,public uses. including churches,
fire-houses9_hospitals and.cli.ncs, parks and
playgrounds, schools, public utility buildings
and professional buildings.
d. All uses for which a Use Permit is required in an
"A-2" District.

2.2 Minimum lot,area required shall_bg five (5) acres.
SECTION 3, All uses of land within the District not specifically
authorized and.permiated,.are prohibited. _
SECTION 4. The Ordinance shall be, and it is hereby declared to be
in fall force and effect from and after the_,time of its passage, pursuant
to the emergency hereinafteY?found and declared; and shall remain in full
force and effect until such time as a perroanent ordinance covering the
above described area shall take effect,. following notice of public hearings
and other procedures as provided in said Zoning Enabling Ordinance, or
until such time. as the Board of Supervisora shall determine that said area
shall not be zoned. as an "A-3" District...... .-. _ _. . _ _:
SECTI~I 5, For the immediate preservation of the public peace, health
and safety of the area hereinabove described and the residents and inhabi-
tants thereof, it is necessary that this Ordinance take effect immediately.
A declaration„of the facts oonsti.tutng_the necessty_therefor is as follows:
The adoption of such Interim Zoning Plan is necessary in the public
interest, to maintain the status quo in such district pending the deter-
mination of the application for such permanent detail zoning.

SECTION 6. This emergency ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and before the expiration of fifteen (1$) days after its
passage shall be published once with the-names of all members voting for
and against the same in the Chico Enterprise , a newspaper
published in the County_of Butte._ _ _.
SECTION 7. Penalties for.any violation of the zoning hereby imposed
within the District shall be as provided in the Zoning Enabling Ordinanceo
In compliance with the provisions of the Zoning Fabling Ordinance this
Ordinance shall from and after its effective date become a supplement to
and part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance.___ ___. .
