INSTTTUTT4NS CODE §5150
WHEREAS, the County of Butte desires to maintain an
effective mental health program with~n its jurisdiction, and
WHEREAS, such a program would be a direct or indirect
benefit to al~ xes~dents of the County of Butte.
NOW, TH~12EF'QRE, BE IT RESOLVED ~hat :
1. The following persons are hereby designatec3 to have
~Che au~hority to detain as specified in Welfare and Tns~itutions
Code §5150:
a. AlI peace of£icers;
b. All members of the attending staff of the Residen~ial
Treatment Center;
c. All health and mental health professionals serving
wit~, the County of Butte or any entity cont~acting with the County of
~utte; and
d. A11 licensed physicians practicing in the County of
Butte.
2. The Residen.tial Treatment Center in Chico and the Chico
Community Memorial Hospital are hereby designated pursuant to Welfare
and Institutions Code §5150 as evaluation facilities and as facilities
for 72 hour trea~ment and eval~:uation.
