BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors o~ th~ County
of Butt~, State of Cali~o~nia, that it is th~ in~ention o~ said
Boa~d to order the fal.lowing improvements and acquisi~ions ~o be
made in Meyexs Street Assessment District No. ~, County of Butt~,
State of CaZifornia, to wi~:
The improvem~nt o~ Meyers Street £rom a poa.nt I26 feet
wester~y~~rom ~he centerline of Park Avenus, said point
. being coincidental with the Ci.ty of Chico boundary ~.ine,
to a poin~ nleast~r~d along the cen~terline of 1~Ieye~s
Street I524 feet wester~y fro~r the c~nterline of Pa~~k
Avenue, by cans~ructing ~~.hereon streets, including
clearing, gzading, s~b-base, bas~~, pav~ment, curbs and
gutters and driveways; s~.dewa~ks, storm drainage ~acili-
ties; sanitary sewers and appu~tenances; a system af
dom~stic water suppl.y incl.uding fire hydran ~s, pipe-
lxnes, metezs, wells and appurtenances; street ~.ights;
~ and a7.1 other a.mp~avernents and appurtenances necessa~y
for a compl~te scheme of pub~.ic improvements.
The acquzsitian~and iFnprovement of the rights o~ way
described as RW-1 to RW-1.4, ir~cl.usive, as shown on the
General Map of Right of Way o~ Prop~rties to be Acquir~d,
~ which said General Map is on file i,n th~ office of the
County C1.erk flf the County of Sut~e, by constructing
thereon s~reets, ~ncluding clearing, g~adzng, sub-bas~,
base, pavein~nt, curbs and gutters, and driveways; side-
walks, storm drainage ~acili~ies; saz~itazy sewezs
~ and appurtenances; a systez~ o~ doznestic water suppl.y
~.ncluding fa~re hyd~rants, pipelines, meters, w~iis and
appurtenances; st~eet light~; and al.l o~her improvemen~s
and appurtenances nec~ssary-for a compl.ete scheme of
~ publ.ic ~.mprovements .
BE ~T FURTHER RESOLVED that said a.mprov~ments be constructed
in said streets, avenues, roads, lanes, courts, places and/or public
ways hereinabove described and i.n the parti.cular Iocation~ set fo~~th
and shown on the pl.an hereafter re~erred ~o; together with the

That the ~ocation of work to be constructed pursuant ta this
Reso~u~ion of ~ntention is shown upon ~he plan which has been filed
in ~he office of the County Clerk of ~he Coun~y of Butte on the
1st day o~ March,~977, and is entitled, "General Plan of ~mprovement",
and said plan is reterr~d to for ~h~ speci~ic location of ~he works and
structures ta be cons~ructed.

alZ str~ets, intersections, terminations and oppos~te termina~ions
occurring w~thin the Z~mi~ations a~ said work.
The attention of al~ p~rsons is dir~cted to the fact that aIl
of said classes o~ work above described ~ay not be constructed upon
a1Z of the streets and/or pub~ic ways above described in their entirety,
but on~y upon the particular ~ocations as shorrm on the p~an hereinabove
referred to, to which th~ attention of al~ persons is directed ~or a
description of the work, locati~n of'the several classes of work, a de-
script~on of the cZasses of work ta be done upon each ot the several
public streets or rights-o~-way named, a descr~ption of ~he streets and
righ~s-of-way, and for all other information contained in the said
plan hereznabove referred ~o pertinent to the doing and completion of

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ~h~ Board af Superv~sors ot tiYe
County af Butte hereby makes ~n~ expenses and costs of said improve-
men~s and acquisitions cha~geab~e upon a district, which saxd district
said Board o~ ~upervisors her~by declares the district bene~ited by ~he
~mprovem~nts and acquisitions herezn described; said district shaL~
include that territory ~n ~he County of Butte, State of Ca~ifornia,
which is shown an that cer~azn map on file in the office of the County
Cie~k of the County ot Butte, and which is entitled and described,
"Praposed Bounda~ies of Meyers Stre~t Assessment District No. ~, County
of Butte, State of Califo~nia," and which said map inaicates by a boun-
dary ~ine the extent of the t~rritory inc~uded in the proposed district
and covers a~~ details as to the extent o~ the area to be assessed; said
map is, by this reference, incorporated herein and made a part hereaf.
Excepting from the area shown and delineat~d an said map here-
inabov~ referred to, the area of a11 publ~c streets, avenues, lanes, roads,
drives, courts, places, pubZic parks, and all easemen~s and rights-
o~~way ~he~ein con~ained be~onging to the public, and also excepting from
the area shown and delineated on said map all property owned by the
United States of America, the State of Ca~iforn~a, the County of Butte,
and any other pub~ic agent mandatory ot the Government, schoo~ board,
eduaational, penal or re~or~ institution or institution for the
feeble-minded or the insane which is in us~ in the per~ormance ofi a
public function. and also sp~cificaZZy except~ng th~refrom any property
belonging to the United 5tates of America or the State of Ca~ifornia,
whether in use in the performance of a public tunction or otherwise.
NOTICE TS HEREBY GIVEN that s~rial bonds to represent unpaid
assessments, and bearing interes~ at ~he rate o~ not to exceed eight

per cen~ {8$) pe~ anntun, shal~ b~ issued in the manne~ and ~orm provi~ed
in Part 5, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California (Improvement Act of ~911) to represent unpaid assessments of
Fi~ty DoZlars {$54.00) or over, the last installment of which bonds shal~
mature fourteen (14) years ~rom ~he Znd day of ~anuary next succeeding
th~ ~~x~ Sep~ember lst following their date. Said bonds shall be pay~
able to bearer, and may be ~edeemed as provided ~n the Tmprovemen~ Act
o~ I9~1, and there sha11 be added to the redemption c~ause in said
bonds the following words: ~ .
~ "togethe~ with a premium of fiv~ per cent
(5$} af the unmatured principal."
In case of defau~t, ~here sha~~. be added to the defaulted
arnount on.e per cent (Z~) of the amount th~reo~, and on the lst day of
each month fol~owing such default there shall be added a~ur~.h~r penalty
of one per cent (1.%} of such defau~ted amount. The one per cen~t
(~.~) penalty first imposed shall be reta~ned by the Treasurer as a cost
of servicing ~he delinquency and a~.1 ~ubsequent pena~t~.es sha~.~. be _
paid to the holder of the bond along with and as a part of such d~faulted
payment. ~
Proceedings for a].1. work shal]. be taken pursuant to the ~m-
provem~nt Act~of 1.911, and the bonds hereinabov~ described sha~.1 be
issued under the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 as heretofore
described. ~ .
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, the 5th day a~ Apri~,
~.9?7, at the hour o~ 9~4~ o'cl.ock A.M. of said day, at the xnee~ing
p].ace of the Board of Supervisors ot the County of Butte, ~.ocated in the
Courthouse, Orovi].le, Ca~.ifornia, any and a13, persons having any objec-
tion ~o the proposed ~mpxovements and acquisitians, or any objectians to

the grades to whxch sa~d work is proposed to be done, or to the boun-
dar~es of ~he district p~opased to be assessed to pay the cost and ex-
penses thereof, may appear before said Baard of Supervisors and show
cause why said improvements and acquisitions should not be carried out
in accordanc~ with ~his Resolution of zntention, and may present writ~en
protest, not la~er than the hour hereinabove set ~or hearing, agains~ th~
doing of said work, the grades to which said wark is to be done, ox the
exten~ of the territory to be assessed to pay the cost and expenses ~her~of;
The County Clerk of the County of Bu~te shall cause natice of
th~ adop~ion o~ this Reso~utian o~ In~ention to be pub~ished twice in the
CHTCO ENTERPRTSE, a n~wspaper o~ generaZ circulation, circulated in ~he
Cotu~ty ot Butte, which said newspaper is hereby desig.nated as the news-
paper in which sha~ll be pr~n~ed and published a1Z notices, resolutions,
orders and other matters r~quired to be pub~ished in the proceed~.ngs
tak~n pursuant to this Resolution o~ Sntention and under the provisions
of said Impro~e~en~ Act of Z91~, and amendmen~s thereto; the ~irst pub~
lication of sa~d notice shaZ~ b~ not less than ten (10) days pr~or to
the date herein ~ixed ~or hearing on this Reso~ution of Intention;
The Engineer of Work sha~l cause tn be conspicuous~y pasted
along the Zine of sa~d con~emplated work and improvement, and on all
the open st~eets wi~hin the assessment d~strict, notice af ~he
passage of ~his ResoZution o~ Intentio~ in the time, form and manner
required by law. ~
The County Clerk of the County of Butte is hereby directed ta
mail a copy o~ ~o.tice of the adoption o~ ~his Resolution of Inten~ion,
po5tage p~epaid, to aI~ persons owning rea~ property propased to be
assessed, whose names and addresses appear on the last equai~zed assess~
