ESTABLZSHMEIVT Ok' AGRICULTURAL ADVISORY COMMISSION
W~iEREAS, agriculture is the mosC important aspect of the economy
of Butte County, and
WIiEREAS, this Board has determined the need for an advisory body
that will advise the Board on a11 matters before the Board that af_fect
agricul~ure.
NOW, 'T~IEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED tha~ ~his Board hereby es~ablishes
~he "AgriculCUra1 Ad~risory Commission":
l. Said Commission shall consist of seven members. Each Soard
member shall nominate one member to the Commission; however, all members
sl~all be appointed. by the Board of Supervisors. The County Agricu~tural
Commissinner, or his authorized depu~y, and the Farm Advisor of Sutte
Caunty, or his au~horized deputy, shall be -; members of the
Commission.
2. With the exception of the Agricultural Commissioner and the
~'arm Advisor, the members o£ the Agricultural ~,dvisory Commission sha11 be
entit~ed to mileage and other necessary expenses pursuant to the County
resolution on tsavel expenses.
3. Said Agricultural Advisory Commission shall uteet at such places
and times as direc~ed by the Board of Supervisors i.n. order to advise the
Board on the questions which said ~oard directs to said Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by tize Sutte County Board of Supexvisors this
loth day of May, 1977, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Letnke, Madigan, Moseleyi Winston and Chairmaa Richter
