AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING LOAD LIMIT ON COUNTY
ROAD IN THE CHICO AREA OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA (Vehicle Code Section 35706)
The BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, ST,~TE OF
GALIE'ORNIA, do ordain as foilowst
to That this Ordinance is adopted pursuant to Section 35706
of the Vehicle Code of the State of California.
2, That the use of the hereinafter described county highway
and road by any commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross
weight of 30,000 pounds is prohibited,
3, That the road upon which said load limit shall apply is
situated in the County of Butte., State of California, and
described as followsi
On all of that portion of Manzanita Avenue lying between
the south right of way line of Vallombrosa Avenue and the
City Limits of the City of Chico, said City Limits being
the southerly projection of the line between lots 24 and
33 of the Eighteenth Subdivision of the John Bidwell Rancho.
4. That appropriate signs shall be erected indicating the
county highways and roads affected by this Ordinance.
5. Violation of this Ordinance sha11 be punishable as a
misdemeanor as provided in Section 42001 of the Vehicle Code of
the State of California.
6. This Ordinance sha11 be and is hereby declared to be in
fu11 force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the
date of its passage, providing appropriate signs giving notice,
as herein providedy are erected, and before. the expiration of
fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once, with the names of the Boaxd members voting for

and against it, in the Chico Enterprise Record, a newspaper of
general circulation printed and published in the County of Butte,
State of California.
The foregoing Ordinance was duly adopted and passed by the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
at a xegular meeting thereof, held on the 2sth day of
May ~_ 1963, upon roll call by the following vote:
