Wi~REAS, on June 17, 1977, the California Depar~ment of Transportatxan
forwarded o£~i.c~.a~, notice of apportioned amoun~s due Butte Caunty under the
Federal-aid Highway Ac~s, in accordance wi~h ~~.e ~rovi.sion.s o~ Sectioa 2530
o~ the S~reets and Hzghways Code, as ~ollows;
Fede~al-aid for safer off system roads $154,45Z.
WHER~A~, Sec~~.on 2532 of the Streets and Highways Code r~quix~~s ~.he
Caunty within 60 days of ~ecei.vi.ng suclZ no~ice ~o notif~r the Depar~tnent of
`~ranspox~a~ion as ~o tihe amount of the agportionment the Coun~y and its cities
wi.s:h ~o claim.
WHEEtEAS, the Coun~y wil.1 en~er into an agreament between the Coun~y
and a majoriry of fhe ci~ies, which ci~ies shall ~nclude a majority of the
municipal population within the County tor the distribution of the ~'ederal~
funds unc~er thi.s program as requzred b~` Sec~.ion 2530(c) of the Streets and
Highways Code,
NOW, THER~FORE, BE IT RESO~VED t~.at the Countp of Butte does hereby
notify the Cali~ornia Depar~nent o~' Transportation that tihe Cflunty of Butte
c1a5.ms the sai.d apporti.o~naent and the whole ~hexeof in ~he name of ~he Countiy
and its cities, and ~ha~ the Coun~y o~ Butte daes hereby a~ree ~o do a11 ~h
necessary an.d prope~ ~o secu~e the ~ede~al ~unds available v.nder ~he Federal-
aid ~ox Safer O~f-Sys~em Roads Prograu~.
