A~REEMENT BETWE~N '~HE COUNTY 0~' B~'I'TE AND THE
STATE Q~ CALZ~'ORNZA
WHEREAS, the County of Butte, hereinafter referred
to as "Publ~c Agency", passed Reso~ution 76-49 requesting ~h~
te~m3.nation of ~he Social Security Agreement of S~ptember 15,
1959 w3.th th~ State of California and,
WH~REAS, tha'~ said agreement provided f'or the inclusion
of the el.~.g3,b1.e employees of the Public Agency ~n ~he California
S~a~e Social Security A~reement o~ March 9, 195~, pursuant to the
provisions of Section 218 of the Soc~.a1 Security Aet; and,
WH~REAS, it ~.s understood that if the sa~.d agreemen~
laetween the Pub~ic Agency and the S~ai~e of Califarnia, and the
California Sta~e Soc~.a~. Security Agreement with resgec~ ~o the
Pu.blic Agency, are '~erminated, the Public Agexicy may not again
en~er into an agreement x*~.th ~he State to provide for ~.ncl.usion: of
th~ services of ~.'~s empl.oyees in the Galifornia State Social
Se~L~x~ity Agreem~nt;
~' ' N~W~, THERE~'ORE BE IT Ft~SOLVED that the Coun~y Baard of
Su-pe~visors find and it hereby finds that ~.t is in the best ~
interest o~' the Public Agene~ ~o ~e:sc:i~d, Resolution 76-~~ which
~erminated said agreemen~ with respect to all coverage of
groups thereaf;
AND B~ TT FiT13THER RESOLVED that the Public Agency and
tne Sta'~e continue un~.nterrupted their agreement of Sep~ember 15,
~959 providing fox~ ~he inclusion of the services of eligible
employees of the Publ~.c Agency in the Ca1.3fornia State Soc3.al
Security Agreemen'~ of March 9~ 1g51, pursuant to the provisi,ons
of Sect~.on 21$ of the Social Security Act;
AND BE T~ FURTHER RESOLVED tha~ W. R: Lawrence,
County Auditor be, and is hereby autharized and dz~ec~ed
to not~fy the Board of Adm~nistrat~on of the Pub~~c Employees'
Retir~men~ System of the withdrawa~ af ResoZution 76-4g. and
the continua~ion af th~ agreemen~ of September 15, 1g~9 betw~en
~h~ publzc Agency and the S~a~e of Ca~ifarn~a effective June 2$, 1977;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESQLVED that the authorized agen~ of the
Public Agency be and is hereby d~rected ~o forward ~o ~he
Board af Adm~nistrat~on a cer~~~~ed copy of this Reso~utian.
~T IS HEREBY CERTTF~ED that ~he forego~ng Resolut~an
w~s du~y introduced and regularly adop~ed a~ a regular meet~ng
of the Coun~y Board of Supervisors of ~he Coun~y of Bu~te held
on the 21st day af June, Z9T7 by ~he following vote:
