Butte finds it to be in the inte~est of the county to amend ~he
personnel rules.
NOW, THERE~ORE, BE I~ RESOLVED, the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Sutte hereby amends section 6.3 of the personnel
rules of the County of Butte to read as fol~ows:
6.3 QUALIFICATIONS
e) Successful completion of a writ~er~,performance,
or oral examination, or a combination of ~wo
or more of such examinations, designed to test
the applicant's knowledge, skills, physicaZ
ability and personal attributes as related to
the class of posi~zon ~or zuhich the examination
is established. Ratings of such exam~nations
shall be in con~ormity with the provisions set
fortn on the examination announcement and shall
be app~ied equably using appropriate sQientific
techniques and procedures determinin~ the ~t~al
scores.
f) Satisfactory evidence of sta~us of the applicants'
physical and mental health with regard to the
job related factors of ~he classz~ication.
NOW, BB IT FU~TH~R RESO~V~D, The Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte hereby amends section 6.10 of ~he personnel
ru~es of the County of;+fl~t~e to read as follows:
6.10 APPOINTMENTS
h) Re-employment. Upon recommendation of an
appointing authority and with the approval of
~he Personnel Director, an employee separated in
good standing from county employment may within
three years of the separation date be re-employed
in a class in whieh the employee held permanent
status or a similar class as determined by the
Personnel Director. An employee re-employed
under the provisions of this section shal~
serve a probationary period in the class in
wfiich the re-employment occurs. An appointing
authority may, in addition to eligibili~y 1~sts ~9:~~°:
a vacant position, consider re-employmen~ of a
former employee subject to the provisions of
this section, except that no re-employment shall
occur in a department where an existing lay-off
