WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of ButCe in~ends to
consider a propo~al for the estabiishment of a county service area for ~Eire
hydrants, the boundaries of which area are hereinafter described;.and
WHEREAS, n.o proceeda.ng for the establishment of such a service area shall
be fnstituted by this Board or requested by its members unti~, approvaZ of

NOW, TFiE[t~EORE, BE IT R~SOLVED AND ORDERED by the ButCe Cpunty Board of
5upervisors as folloras:
1. Applicatioxl and a proposal is hexeby made to the Butte County Loca1
Agency k'ormation Commission in accordance wa.th the Knox-Ni.sbet Acf, beginning
wieh Government Code Section 54773, for estabiishment of County Sarvice Area
No, 57. The exterior boundaries of the pxopo~ed service area are described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference.
2. Establishittent of said sexvice area i.s proposed under the Coanty Service
Area Law (~hapter 2,.2, Part 2, Didision 2, Title 3 of the Government Code
beginning with Sectzon 25210.1). The type of extended service proposed to be
pxovided is fire hydrant service.
3. The Clexk o~ the Board is authorized and directed to file a certified
copy of this resolution with the Executive Officer of the Butte Countq Lor_al
Agency Formation Commission.
