MANAGENiENT TRAINING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Butte County is condacting neighborhood.improvement programs zn
south Oroville and the Chapmantown area of Chico funded ire part through a
Cott¢nunity Development Block Grant from the U. S. Department of Housing and 'Urban
DeveJ.opment, and~
WHEREAS~ said program consists of loans and grants .f_or the rehabilitation of
housing, public facilities improvements and related actions aimed ae upgrading
~these blighted neighborhoods, and;
WHEREAS, funds may become availabiF throvgh the State of California's Low
~ncome ~Iome Management Training Program for neighborhood prograins to conduct
financial counseling home maintenance training and community education for south
Oroville and Chapmantown residents, and;
WHEREAS, sai.d program is consistent with Che goals of said neighboxhood
improvement progzams ~$d the zelated needs of the residents of these blighted
neighborhoods.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Administrative Officer is hereby
authorized to submit an application for a grant for $14,900 for Lour Income
Management Training Program., and~
$E IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Administrative Officer is hereby avthorized
to receive said funds should they become available to conduc~ Che Low In~ome
ManagemenC Training Program in accardance with ~~ie requirements of said grant.
