SERVICE~ (Communitv Development Project Area}
Wf~EtEAS~ ~the Boaxd of Supervisors of the County o~ But-Ee has received a Comrm,nity
Developmen-~ Block Grant from the U. S. Department of Housing anct iIrban Development,
among the purposes of which are to elinimate blight and improve housing conditions for
lota- and moderate-income families within ~Ehe project area generally Imovm as "South
Oroville"; and
Y~REAS~ the Board has received a recommendation from its Community Deve~,ppment
Consultant that ceztain rea]. property be acquired, consistent w9.th the goal.s an.d objec~tives
of the block grant program, ~or the purpose of ef.fecting the removal of resa.dential
b7ight; and
k~AS~ tlie County, following the uniform policies and requirements estab~.ished
in the FiUD Real Property Acquisition Handbook 1320.1, has made appropria~e e~'forts to
identify the best qua7.ified appraisers in a nondiscriminatory manner, whose services
might be utilized in abta-~n;r,g compe~ent appraisals.
NOW~ TI•1~tE~RE~ BE IT R.ESOL~D by the Board of Supervisors of ~the Co~anty of
Butte as folloVas, to wit:
l. That the County of Butte sha11 enter into con~ract with Williara H. P. ~olan
for appraisal and rerriew appraisal services, respectively, within the CB pro~ect area.
2. That the Civ.ef Administrative Officer ~.s authorized to execute such contracts
for and on behalf of the County.
