RESOLUTION AUTIiORIZING BUTTE COUNTY ~NV~RONMENTAL REVIEti~ DIRECTOR
TO PREPAIZE TNTTIAL STUDIES FOR BUTT~ COUNTY SPECIA~ D~STRICTS
WHEREAS; ~any Butte County Special districts wi11 be
considering adoption and revision of ~nvironmental ~eview Gui.delines
in compliance with ~he California ~nvixonmental Quality Act;
WHEREAS, i~ is proposed that sa3.d guidelines provide
special districts'wi~h ~he alternative of utilizing the services of the
Butte County Environmental Review Airector to prepare initial studies
required under the California Envi.ronmental Quality Act for proposed
projects other Chan exempt projects; and
Yn]T~E1tEA5; this Boa~d's authorizatian is sought to permit
the Butte County Environmental Review Dzrector to prepare such
initiaZ studies providing the special districts utilizing this
service pay the aetual cost of the services.
NbW THERE~'~RE, the 8~.~.tte County ~nvi~onmental Review
Direc~or is hereby authorized to prepare inirial studies requixed
under the California Environmental Quality Act for Butte County
Special. Districts in consideration of the payment by special. dist~zcts
of the actual cost of said service.
No district sha11 be charged in excess of $1QO.Q0 for the
cost of an initial study prepared by the Buete Countp EnvironmenraZ
Review Director without the express authorization of the special
district for whom'',the iniCial s~udy is being prepared.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Sutte, State of California, this ~8th day of October ,
2977, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Lemke, Madigan, Moseley and Chairman Richter
NOES: None
NOT VOTING : None
ABSENT: Su~ervisor ~nston
