AREA 1V0. 27, A P~OPOSITION R.~GARUING AN INCREASE
IN THE ~~A~IMUP~ TAX RA'S~
WHEREAS, 'the tax rate levied in County Service Area No
is appxoaching the established maximum tax rate; and

WHEREAS, revenues generated by the established maximum
tax rate will become insufficient to provi.de for the curren~ level
of services in said area; and
WHEREAS, County Service Area No. 27 con~ains 300 or less
registered voters; and
' WHEREAS, there are no other elections called in said
service area thus mak9.ng it more feasible to use mailed ballots in
sa~.d service area.
NOW, TH~R~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, S~a~e of California, as follows:
Tl~at a special election using mailed ballots,zs hereby
called and o~dered to be held in County Service Area I3o. 27 on
March 7.;,1.978, for the pv.rpose of submitting to the qualified electors
of County Service Azea No. 27 the following ballot measure:
Shall the maximum annual property tax rate for
County Service Area No. 27 be a.nCreased from
$.38$ per $100.00 of assessed valuation ~o $.450
per $100.00 of assessed va7.uation, an increase
of $.~.62 per $100.00 assessed valua~ion of all
taxabZe property within. the a~ea?
