RATES FOR THE COMMUNITY ANTENNA TELEVISION
SYSTEM -- STATE TV CABLE
WHEREAS, State TV Cab1e has requested an amendment to
the community antenna system fees heretofore adopted so as to
allow State TV Cab~e to collect from its subscribers any copyright
~iabi~ity fees imposed under federal authority; and
WHEREAS,'this Board held a duly noticed public hearing
on the question at'its regular meeting on December 6, 1977; and
WI~EREAS,'the City of Chico, by its Resolution No. 85
77-78, has previously approved the modifications.
NO~d, THERE~'ORE, BE TT AGREED as follows :
l. Should copyright liability fees be required o~ State
TV Cable under ~ederal authority, State TV Cable shall have the
right to increase its rates ~or regu].ar subscriber service to off-
set such liability. Any increase so made shall be limited to the
amount of liability imposed.
2. No later than concurrently with the customer billing
on which a copyxight liability fee offset charge first appears,
State TV Cable sha11 ~nfo~m each subscriber as ~o the nature and
approximate amount'of tki.e monthly offset charge. Further, State
'TV Cable shall azxange to carry the mon~hly offset charge as a
separate designated line item on itis cus~omer bzlling sheet.
3. The Boazd of Supervisors reserves the right to review
the offset charge at an.y time and to make any adjustments to such
offset charge as it considers appropriare.

4. This'!resolution shall become effective on
January 1, 1978.
