AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHITIG.SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN ROADS
WITHIlU THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
(Vekzicle Code Section 22358)
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
do ordain as follows:

Section l: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter described
come within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of
California, in that a prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (65} miles per hour
is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways, and determines and de-
clares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highways as follows:
Section 2: That a prima facie speed limit of forty-five (~5) miles
per hour is hereby determined, declared, and established upon the hereinafter
described Butte County higln~ray, to .,ri.t:
On Oroville Dam Boulevard (Old State Highway 1~OA} from the easterly
right-of-way line of Pine Oaks Road to a point 500 feet easterly of
Glenn Drive.
Section 3: That SPEED LIl~LiT 1~5 MILES signs be placed at appropriate
locations on the road described in Section 2.
Section 4: That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles
per hour is hereby determined, declared, and established upon the hereinafter
described Butte County highways, to wit:
On all of West Eleventh Avenue
On all of Trlest T~re3_fth Avenue
On all of West Lindo Avenue
On all of Fern Avenue
On all of Holly Avenue
On Fourteenth Street between Grand Avenue and Merced Avenue (State 21A
On Twelfth Street between Cherokee Road and Merced Avenue (State 21A)
Section 5: That SPEED LIMIT 35 i`tILES signs be placed at appropriate
locations on the roads described in Section 1a..
Section 6: That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five (25) miles
per hour is hereby determined, declared, and established upon the hereinafter
described Butte County highways, to wit:

locations on the roads described iri Section 6.
Sectian $: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
Section The several features, parts, provisions, sections, and
terms of this. ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the
invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section, or term thereof
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera-
tive or invalid.
Section Z0: The Department of Public Z~3orks of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
speed limits established herein, r~ithin thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its passage,
and before-the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be
published with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once
in a 1oca1 newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.

State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the
