WI~ttEAS, the County of Butte is conducting a neighborhood improvement
program in the South Oroville community, among the purposes of which are the
eliminatinn of blight and the stimula~ion of residential rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, the county has determined that certain parcels identi.fied in the
aforesaid neighborkood may be brought i.nto eompl.iancE with county objectives
on].y through the direct county acquisition and rehabilitation o£ real property;
and
Tn1E~TtEA5, ~he county has rec!e~:ved an appraisal report, from William H. P.
Dolan, Jr., dated December 6, 1977, in accordance with federal and state
regulations, for the purpose of establishing j~st compensation for certaa.n
specified real properties.

l. The Board de~termines i~ to be i.n the best interest of the. South
Oroville comm,ln;ty develojxnent program to acquire that certain real prnperty
described as Assessor's Parcel ~#35-165-O1~ and loeated a-G the southwest cnrner
of Elgin 5treet and Burlirzgton Avenue, Orov9.lJ.e, said property being owned by
Carrie Nlae Hill.
2. The Board hereby establishes the sum of $!~, 500 (Four Thousand F`ive
Hundred Dollars} as just compensat~.on for subject property.

3. The Board authorizes i.ts County Administrative Of~.cer tv e~ecute a
"laritten Offer to P~rehase Real Property" and an"Agreement of Sale of Rea~
Property" for that parcel identified herein.
