Maintenance District on December 20, 1g77 for the purpose of providing streetlighting
u,ri.thin the Lindo Gardens #3 subdivision; and
W.~EAS} Section z263.2 0~' the Revenue and Taxation Code clearly states that if no
petition estab3ishing a maximum tax rate is signed concurrently with or before such a
district is formed tYcen a maximum tax rate election is requa.red to set a tax ra~e; and
WHEREAS, the I,a;ndn.:Gardens: #3 Streetlighting Mai.ritenance Dis~rict contains 300 or
less registered voters; and
C~REAS, there are no other el.ections called in said service area thus making it
mnre feasible to use mailsd ballots in sai.d ses~vice area.
NOW, TFIE~~RE, ~E IT RESOLVED by the Board of Superv~isors of the Connty of Butte,
S~ate of Cali£ornia, as ~'ollows:
That a special election using mailed ballots is hereby called and ordered to be
held in the Lindo Gardens #3 Stree~lighting Maintenance District on May S, 197~, ~or the
~nzrpose of' submitting to the qua~.ified electors of the Lindo Garden #3 Streetlightzng
Mai.ntenance District the fo~lowing ballot measure:
Sha1Z the ma~.mum aiv~ual real property tax rate for ~
Lindo Garden #3 ~treetlighting Ma:in-~enance District
be $1.77 per $100.00 of assessed valuation. NO
PASSED AN13 ADOPTED by the Batte County Board of Supervisors on this 2Zst day of
