TO P~ H~L~ ON JUNE 6, 1978.
C~i~REAS, the Soard of Directors of the Chz.co Area Recreation
and Park bistrict have adopted Reso~.ution No.78=3 callzng a speci.al
elecrion for the purpose o£ submitti.ng to the quala.fzed electors o~
t~Ce District a measure concerning the detachment of a portion of the
district; and
ZdfiEREAS, the Board o£ Directox's of the Chico ,A.~ea ].teczeation
and Park District have requested ~he Board of Supervisors of the
County of Sutte to order the consolidation o~ the aforesaa.d special
election with the State of California primarq elec~ian ~o be held on
Tuesday, .Tune 6, 1978.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED AND RE90LVED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
Z. That the special election called by the Board of Directors
of the Chico Area Recreation and Park District by Resolution No. 7g~3
for June 6, 1978 sha11 be and the same is lzereby consolidated with
the State of California primary election to be held on ,7une b, 1978.
2. The County C1e~k is ordered and directed to cause the
exact form and wording of the measures set forth. zn Resolutioxz No.78-3
adopted by the Board of Directors of the Chico Area Recreation and
Park District to appear on each ballot and sample ballot to be used
in said election within the territory affected by said consolidation.
3. The County Clerlc is furth.er ordered to canvass or cause
to be canvassed the returns of said election. with respect to the vo~es
cast on the measure set forth in Resolution No. 78-3 of the Board of
Directors of the Chico Area Recreati.on and Park Distri.ct in the
terri~ory affected ~y said consolidation and to certify such canvass
of votes cast for and against said measure to the Board of Directors
of the Chico Area Recreation and Park Bistrict provided that the
ze~urns ~rom each area described in Section 2 of said Resolution
shall be canvassed and the canvass certified separately.
4. The County Clerk is further authorized to charge to Chico
Area Recreation and Park~District the expenses of the e~ection
at~ributab~e to said ~istrict.
