HomeMy WebLinkAbout78-053WHEREAS, the Governing Board of the Chico Unified School District passed a resolution calling ~or a~pecial 'sehoo~•,district election £or the purpose of electing a member of the Governing Board o~ said schooZ district, said eiection to be held Tuesday, June 6, 1978; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Superintendent o~ Schools called for ~he Special Election for Chico Unified School District to be consolida~ed wi~h the State-Gdide Primary Election on Tuesday, June 6, 1978; and WHER~AS, the Butte County Board o~ Education, as successor to the Butte County Gommittee on School District Organization, passed a resolution call~ng for a special school district election to rearrange trustee areas in the Durham Unified School District, said election to be held Tuesday, June 6, 1973; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Superintendent of Schools called for the Special EZection for Durham Unified School District to be consolidated with the State-Wide Primary Election on Tuesday, ~une 6, 1978; and WHEREAS, fihe Governing Board o£ the P~oneer Union School District..p3ssed a resolution call~ng for a special school district election to authorize an ~ncrease in the maximum tax rate by an amount which will produce revenues equal to Che annual lease payments for buildin~s constructed pursuant to the "Leroy F. Greene State School Building Lease-Purchase Law of 1976," sa~d election to be held Tuesday, June b, 1978; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Superintendent of Schools called for the Special Election for Pioneer Unzon School District to be _... _ ......._ ... ___ __ . __ ~ - ORDE~ AND RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE C4NSOLIDATION OF THE CH~CO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, IIURHAM UNIFIED SCHOOL DIST~ICT AND THE PIOIdEER UNTON SCHOOL DZSTRICT ELECTIONS WITH-THE STATE-WTDE PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 1978 consolidated with the State-Wide Primary Election on Tu~sday, June 6, 1978; and ' G~IEREAS, the aforesaid ~overning Boards and=Butte Countg Board of Education have reouested the Board of, Sunervisors of the County of Butte to order the consolidation of their respective :. ._ elections with ~he S~ate-Taide Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, June 6, 1978. NOGd, TIiEREFORE, BE I'F ORDEP.ED A~ID RESOLVED by the ButCe County Board of Supervisors, State of California, as follows: 1. That the atoresaid election called by the aforesaid Governing Boards and Butte County Board of Education for June 6, 1978 shall be and the same is hereby consolidated with the State-Wide Primary E1.ection to be held on Tuesday, June 5, 1978. 2. Tha~ ~he areas affected by this consolidation order the election shail be held in a11 respects as though there t•rere only one election and the County C1er1c of Butte County is hereby ordered and directed to provide accordingly, within the territory affected; by said consolidation, the eiection precincts, nolling places and voting booths for said election hereby consolidated and to provide for only one se~ of election of~icers in each of_ ~he precincts affected by this consolidation order. 3. That the County Cl.erk is further ordered and directed to set forth in each form of baZlot and sample ballot, tr~ be used in said consolidated election, insofar as applicable, the ballo~ measure for the aforesaid proposals, to mail to the qualifi.ed eJ.ectors of each district apnropriate sample ballots and pol~.ing place cards signed by said County C1erk relating to saa.d election and to provide absent voter ballots for said election and saa~d SCa~e-Wifle Primary Election consolidated theretvith for use by qua].ified electors of the distric~ ~aho may be entitled th.ere~o as provided by 1aw. 4. That the County Clerl.c sha11 can'vass or cause to be canvassed the return of sai.d districC elections and sha11 certify 2. _. _ _ . _ _ ~1 such canvass of the votes cast to the respective school districts.
