Drake has beea filed with this Board, requesting the formation of a atreeC lighting maintenance district undar.Che pr•ovi~s'_oas of the Improv~ment.Act oE 1911 (Chapter 26, Part 3, Divisfon 7, SecCion 5820 at seq.); and WEIEREAS, public interest and convenience require the formation of a street lighting maintenance district hereinaftez referred to as dOSHUA TREE UNTT #~2 STREET ZIGHTING MAINTII+TANCE DISTRICT for. the purpose of defraytng the e~cpenses, maintenance and operation of an e],ectrfcal street lighting sysCem. Said system will consist of poles, kughts, poste, wires, lamps, and other neceasary equipment installed in the hereinafter described unincorporated territory of the County of Butte, State of California. Said eystem ia to be located on and wi11 li.ght portiona @ 0 0 ~ ~ ~ CD . CC~ -~ a ~ ' ~~ ~ ~`', of public ways ia said street lighting maintenance diatrict. The lighting syatem that wi11 be operated and maintained consiats of overhead service atreet 1lghks which are auspended over the skreets from brackete or arms fastened to poles; and WHEREAS, the operation of the lighting system shail consist of supplying the lamps wiCh electric energy for a21 night burning and switching them vn and off once each night fn accerdance with stsndard switching schedules approved hy the Public Utilitiea Commissfon of the State of California. Maintenance shall coasiat of replacing the lamps when they burn out and ot keeping Che system in good operating order; and WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors does hereby deCermine and declare that the expenaes of maintaining and operating said street 1ighLing system herein described will be assessed upon the lands lying within the said street lighting maintenance diatrict, thaC Che monthly rates charged £or said sCreet 1ighCs shall be in accordance with filed scheduLes approved by the Public Utilities Co~ission of the State of Califosnia; and WHEREAS, all of said lands lying within said street lighCing maintenance d~strict wi11 be benefited by the maintenance and operation of said street lighting system. The terriCory within said street lighCing maintenance district is situated in the County of Butte, State of California, and is more particularly described hereinbelow. Y NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE50LV~D BY THE BOARD pF SUPERVISORS QF TEIE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, that a sCreet lighting mafntenance district under the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911, L~tapter 26, Part 3, Division 7 of the StreeCS and Highways Code of the State of California fs hereby formed and created. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the name of sa.i.d street lighting maintenaace . district shall be JOSHUA TREE UNIT #2 STREET ~IGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT' BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the territory within said above named street lighting maintenance diatxicC is eituated in the County of Butte, StaCe of California, and more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference.
