for the destruction of public records by the Board of Supervisors, and
6+]HEREAS, §2&205.1 of the Government Code authorizes the
Board o~ Supertrisors ro adopt a resolution authorizing a county
officer having custody of nonjudicial publie records to destroy sazd
public records under cer~ain condi~Gions, and
WHEft~AS, 'Che Butte C~unrp Tax Collector, in the performance
of his job, becomes custodian of nonjudicial public records.
VOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED bp the Board of Supervisors
as foll.ows :
1. Pursuant to §26205.1 of the Government Code, the Butte
County Tax Collector is authorized to destroy any nonjudicial records,
documents, instruments, books or papers in his custody.
2. For those records, documents, insCruments, books or
papers prepared or received pursuant to a state statute or the county
charter or which have been expressly required by law to be filed and
preserved, the Butte County Tax Co~lector shall maintain for the use
of the public, a photograghic or. micropho~ographic film,~e~ectronic
recorded video production or other dup ' tes of such records,
documents, instruments, books or apers dest yed.
