ANNEXA`PION OF AN UDIINCORPORATED ISLAND ~U THE CI~'Y OF OROULLLE
WHER~AS, preliminaxy proceedings have been initiated by resolution of the
City of Orov~.lle to the Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission to consider
the annexation of an unincorporated island surrounded by the City of Oroville, and
WH~R~AS, said proposal has been designated 7g-2b City of Oroville Annexation
Mitchell Oro~uincy Road Is1and Annexation. The boundaries of wY3ich are described
in ~~chibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference, and
W[iEFtEAS, said territory is determined to be inhabited, and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this annexation is to insure orderly growth and
devel.opment of the ci~ty and to include Y~ithin the city boundaries an area
already receiving ci~y servi.ces, and
WHEREAS, the LocaZ Agency Formation Corrunission has designated the Board
of Supervisors as ~he eondnct9.ng agency and charge the Board with the responsibility
to hol.d a pub7ic hearing and to consider the annexation proposal without an
election.
NOW, THEREFORE BE TT 1?.~SOi~VED, ordered and determined as £ollows:
l. The pub7ic hearzng on the matter will be hel.d on August 15 , 1978 a-~
9:30 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors' Room, 1$59 Bird Street, Orovil.le,
Ca3iforni.a.
2. Any owner of land taithin the territoxy or any registered voter residing
in ~he terra.tory may file Y,mitten protest against the annexation wi.th the Clerk
of the Board of 5upervisors at any time prior to the conclusion of the Supervi.sors'
hearing on the proposed annexation.
