WHEREAS, the Governing Board of the Biggs Unified School
District b.as passed a resolution calling an elec~ion for the purpose
of electing a member of the Governing Board for the remain.der of
the rerm ending March 31, ~.981, said election to be on November 7,
1978; and
WHEREAS, the Gove~x~.ix~.g Board of the Feather Fa11s Union
Schaol Districe has passed a resolution calling an election for the
purpose o~ zeca~].in.g all members of the present Governing Board and
electing five successor Board members, three for the remainder of t~ie
term ending Nlarch 31, ~.979 and two for the remainder o.f the term
ending March 31, 1981, said election to be on P~ovember 7, 1978; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Board of the Chico Area Recreation
and Park District has passed a resolution calling an election for
~he purpose of electing three members ~o the Governing Board, said
election to be on November 7, 1978; and

Park District has passed a resolution calling an election for the

purpose of elec~ing three members to the Governing Board, said
election to be on Isovember 7, 1978; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Board of ~he Feather River Recreation
and Park District has passed a resolution calling an election for
t~e purpose of el.ecting two members to the ~overning Board, said
election to be on November 7, 1978; and
WHEREAS, the Paradise Recreaction and Park District has:
passed a resolution ca7.l.ing an election for the purpose of electing
three ~nembers to ~he Governing Board, said election to be on
November 7, 1973; and
WHEiZEAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County o~ Butte
has passed a resolution calling an el.ection for the purpose of
submittin.g Advisory Measures Number 1 and Number 2 to the quali~ied
electors of precinct numbers 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025,
2026, 2027, 202$, 2029, 2030, 2032, 2033, 2034, 2035, 2036, 2038,
2041, 2043, 2044, 2045, 2046, 2047, 2201, 22~2, 2203, 2204, 2205,
2206, 2207, 2208, 2209, 2210, 2.211, 2212, 2214, 2215, 2216, 2217,
2218, 2219, 2220, 2221., 2222, 2845.1, 2845.2, 3020, 3021, 3022, '

held on November 7, 1978; and
~~TIiEREAS, each of the aforesaid Governing Boards have
requested the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte to order
the consolidation of each of the aforesaid elections with the State
General. Election to be held on Tuesday, November 7, 1978.
NOW, THEP~FQRE, BE I~ OKDERED.ANA RESOLVEl] by ~he Board'of:
Supervzsors of the County o~ Butte, State of Cal.ifornia, as follows:
1. 'I'hat the aforesaid elections called by Che aforesaid
Govern.in,g Boards for 1~ovember 7, 1978, and by Che Board of Supervisors,
shall be and the same are hereby consolidated wiCh Ctze State General

~lection to be held Tuesday, November 7, 1978.
2. That in the areas affected by this consolidation
order the elecrion should be held in a11 respects as though there
was only one election and rhe County Clerk of Butte Coun~y is hereby
ordered.and directed to provide accordingly within the territory
affected by said consolidation, tize election precincts, polling,
places and voting booths for each of said elections hereby consolidated
and to provide for only one set of election officers in each of the
precinces affected by this consolzdation order.
3. That the County Clerk is further ordered and directed
to set forth in each form of ballot and sample ballot, to be used in
said consolidated elections, insofar as applicable, the ballot
measure for said Governing Board members, recalling Governing Board
members, and submitting Advispry Measures Number 1 and Number 2,
to mail to the qual.ified electors of the respective districts the
appropriate sample ballots and polling place cards signed by said
County C1.erk rela~ing to said election and to provide absent voter
ballots for said elections and said State General Election consolidated
therewith for the use by qualified electors of the respective
districts who may be entitled thereto as provided by Iaw.
4. That the County Clerk sl.i.all canvass or cause to be
canvassed the returns of sazd dis~rict elections and shall cer~'ify
said canvass of the votes cast ~a ~he respactive Governing Boards.
5. Tha~ Che Countq Clerk is further authorized to charge
to the respective districts the expense of the election or elect~:ons
aC~ributable to said districts. /
