WHEREAS, preli~ninary proceedings have been initiated by resolution of the
City of OrovilZe to the Butte County Loca1 Agency Formation Commission to
con,sider the annexation o£ an unincorporated island surrounded by the City
of Orovi.lle, and
WI~REAS, said proposal has been designated 78-26 City of Oroville Annex-
ation Nfitchell Oro-Quincy Road Island Annexation. The boundaries of which
are described in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof by this
reference, and
WI~REAS, said territory is de~ermined to be inhabited, and
Wf~REAS, the purpose of this annexation is to insure orderly growth and
development of the city and to incl.ude wi~hin ~he city boundaries an area
already receiving city services~ and
WIIEREAS, the Loca7. Agency Formation Commission has designated the Board
of Supervisors as the conduc~ing agency and charge the Board with tlze r~spon-
sibility to hnld a public hearing and to consider the annexation proposal
without an election.
WHEREAS, said public hearing was held on August 15, 19~8.
NOW~ THEREFORE BE TT ~2ESOLVED~ ordesed and de~ermined as follows:
Said territory is declared annexed to ~he City of Oroville by this Board.-
