it ta be in the interes~ of ~he County to add to the Personnel Rules.
NOw, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, tha~ the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte hereby adds to Section 13.9 of the Personnel
Rules of the County of Butte the following:
Elected and appointed department heads or officials retirSng
in good standing before age 65 from the County of Sutte under
the provisions of the County's contract with the Pub3ic
Employees Retirement Systam (PERS) may continue to insure
themself and eligibl~ depandents for the basic health and
catas~rophic tnsurance. The County sha]1 pay the fu71
premium for such coverage until the retiree becomes fi5
years of age or fs covered by another governmental or
empjoyer-paid health p1an. Application for post retirement
heaZ~h coverage shall be made to the Personnel Director, prior
to the offic~a~ termination date of County service in a
manner and form prescribed by the Director.
