WHEREAS the County of Butte is administering a Community
Development Prognam in the E7 Medio neighborhood located in South
Oroville; and
WHEREAS the Oroville School District has declared that cer~ain
real property bounded by Myers Avenue, C Street, D Stree~, and Spencer
Avenue, to be surp1us property; and
WHEREAS ~he School D~strict by resolution has offered this
property to the County of Butte for use 9n connection with the County`s
co~nunity deveTopment program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOtVED as follows:
~. The Board of Supervisors expresses its interest in
acquiring the aforementioned property.
2. The County's community development consultant and staff
are authorized to proceed with discussions intended to arrive at a mutual
understanding regarding the terms and conditions of such acquisition.
3. The comtnunity development consu~tant is authorized to expl~ore
the feasibility of using Community ~evelopment B7ock Grant funds to achieve
this acquisition.
4. The County Administrative Of~ice is authorized to retain
William H. P. Dolan, Jr. to provide appraisal services as may be necessary
to carry out the purposes of the actions out1ined above.
