[~TEIEl~EAS , this Board has received a petitioz~, from Ra~ph D.
D~own and others requesting the abandon~[nent of a public highway
(to wit, a pozt~on of V-4 Road) as described below; and
[~THEREAS, pursuan.t to St~ceets and Highways Code §958 this
Board shall set a date ~or a hearing on the petition for abandonment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by tha~s Board:
1. That this Board ~.ereby gives notice that at i~s regular
meeting on January 2 , 1978, at 10:00 a.m., in the Board
Chambers, Sutte Coun.ty A.dmi.nistration Buildix~~, Oroville, California,
a k~earing sha11 be held on the abandonmen~ of Che following described
publ.ic highway:
That portion of C~-4 l~oad, as shown on the map of
Vi11a Verona recorded January 17, ~889 on Zda11 Map
~~12, County of Butte, State of Cali.fornia, lying
between Bloclcs 23 and 30, more particularly described
as follows:
Being a strip of land 60 feet wide, lying 30 feet on
each side of Che following; described centerline:
BEGII~TNII`7G aC a poin~ of the Southerly boundary of Lot 6
of said Block 28 frorn which the Southeast corner therof
bears South 89° 21' East, 134.42 feet; said point o~
beginning being also the Southwest corner of Parcel ].
as described in Deed executed by tidalter W. Tyrrell, et
ux, ro Henr~r L. Jackson, et ux, recorded March 21, 1950,
in Book 529 of Butte County Of_ficial Records, at page
193; thence from said point of beginning and running along
the centerline of said V-4 Road, North 89° 21` West, a
distance of 221.79 '~eet, more or 1ess, to a point in the
TJesterly boundary line of a parcel of 1and, as described
in Deed executed by Mary Lou Bears, et al, to Ftalvh D.
bror~m, et ux,, recorded December 7, 1976, in Book'2125
of But~e Couni:y Official Records, at page 582 and the
end of said centerline.
