This inatter came on regularly for hearing before the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
o~ January 2 > 1979 , in the Board Chamber, Butte County
Administration Building, Oroville, California, and it appearing to
said Board that a Notice of Time and Place of I~Iearing of said
Abandonment was duly and regularly gitren as required by law, and
testimony and evidence, both oral and documen~ary, having been
produced at said hearing from which said Board now finds rha~ ~he
hereinafter described Public Highway (to wit, a portion of V-4
Road) is unnecessary for present or prosnective public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED as follows:
1. That the public highway situated in the County of Butte,
State of California, as hereinafter more particularly descxibed,
is hereby abandoned.
2. That the description of_ said public highway so abandoned
is situated in the County of Butte, State of California, and more
particularly described as follows:
That portion of V-4 Road, as shown on the map of
Vi11a Verona record.ed January 17, 1889 on Wall Map
~~I2, County of Sutte, State of California, lying
between Blocks 28 and 30, more par~icularly described
as follows:
Being a strip of land 60 feet wide, lying 30 feet on
each side of the following described centerline:
BEGINNING at a point of the SoutherJ.y boundary of Lot 6
of said Block 28 from which the Southeast corner thereof
bears South 89° 21' East, Y34.42 feet; said point af
beginning being also the Southwest corz~.er of Parcel I
as described in Deed executed by Walter W. Tyx'rell, et ~
ux, to Henry L. Jackson, et ux, recarded I~arch 21, 1950, ~
in Book 529 of Butte County O~~icial itecords, at page ~
193; thence from said poi.nt of beginning and runnin~ alon ~
the centerline of said V-4 Road, ~Iorth 89° 21' jdest, a ~
distance of 221.79 feet, more or less, to a point in the
Westerly boundary line of a parcel of land, as descrzbed n
in Deed executed by Mary Lou Beers, et al; to Ralph D. ~
Drown, et ux, recarded Decembex 7, 1476, in Book 2I25 Ca

RESOLUTION ABANDONING A PUBLIC HIGHWAY
of Butte County O~f~cial ~ecords, az page 582 and the
end of said centexline.
Subject to Section 959.1 of the Streets and Highway
Code of the State of Calxfoxnia.
3. That the C~erk o~ this Board shall cause a certified
copy of this Resolution, w~th the seal o£ the Board of Supervisors
of the County o~ Butte, State of Calz£ornia, to be recorded in the
office of the Recorder of the County of Butte, State of California.
