of Butte with distinction as a member of this Board from 1971 to
1979; and
WHEREAS, Jack Madigan served this Board and the people of
the County of Butte in a most praficient an~ outstanding manner as
Chairman of ~he Board of Supervisors 3n 1974; and
4dHEREAS, both the people of the State of Caiifornia, as
weil as the County of Butte, have been the beneficiary of his prior
services on the State Board of Reclamation and th~ Si7ver pollar
Fair, as well as his services on many local eleemosynary institutions
and organizations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That this Board wishes to express its sincere appreciation
on behalf of the Board, as well as the people of the County of Butte,
for the outstanding services rendered by Supervisor Madigan during
his tenure of office.

this 9th day of January, 1979, by the following vote:
